This was such a surpise when it was unpacked - it was HUGE! I was planning a trip across australia - 4500km (2800 miles) and needed something that i could carry my gear in and this was perfect. it was able to take all i needed for the 2 week trip. and with enough straps, hooks and other things to tie things on and down with. The only drawbacks - the pockets didnt hold a lot when the back was packed and the hooks for the backpack straps could have been sewn in better/stronger as one broke when trying to lift it
